I’m Chris Kerr, an aspiring graphic designer and a senior expecting to graduate in May 2017 from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design concentrating in Graphic Design and Advertising.
This past summer I have interned at The Anderson Group an advertising agency, where I had the opportunity to work on print ads, social media ads, and assisted with the re-branding of the company. As well as participating in client meetings and meeting with the creative team to create and develop concepts and design.
For the past year, I have worked as the Graphic Designer of the Kutztown University Connections Orientation Program. Working closely with the leadership team I designed the freshman invitation, postcards, agenda, and the new student guidebook. Through this position I have gained the knowledge of preparing files for print, and proofing prints.
I’m a hard-working student and dedicate to the work I design. When designing I apply my skills and design techniques to make the concepts and designs the best. In the past two years, I participated in Kutztown University’s Designathon, a 24-hour design marathon event working with fellow students to design for local non-profits. I plan to apply my skills and knowledge, to a design career in the near future.
